- More than 80% of the Yukon is wilderness.
- The territory is home to more than 250,000 caribou, 70,000 moose, 22,000 mountain sheep, 6,000 grizzly bears and 284 species of birds… and just over 46,000 humans.
- Kluane National Park features the world's largest non-polar icefield, containing over 2000 glaciers.
- During the Gold Rush of the late 19th century, the population grew from a few hundred to tens of thousands in just a few years - primarily centred in Dawson City.
- The Yukon River was an essential route for prospectors during the Gold Rush era. As one of the longest rivers in North America, it travels over 3000km from northern BC through Whitehorse, Dawson City, and Alaska to end in the Bering Sea.
- Of the 14 First Nations in the Yukon, 11 are self-governing, meaning they are responsible for their own economic and social programs, and resource management.

In the winter, we offer custom private tours that centre around Northern Lights viewing and winter adventures like snowshoeing and dogsledding.
In late summer, we offer scheduled guided tours for groups of 6-8 people, plus custom self-drive trips for any group size, on request. Enquire to book your spot!
